Release Notes for Safeguard Send for Microsoft 365

These are the release notes for every (public) version of Safeguard Send for Microsoft 365.  The most recent versions are at the top.  Note that sometimes a version number appears more than once – in those months, there were no changes to the client-side portion of the add-in (which the version number tracks) but rather improvements to the dashboard (where your rules are centrally managed).

October 2024 – v4.5.9057.35845

– If you typed raw HTML into either warning display text fields (for example “<strong>Warning:</strong>”), the second and subsequent elements would not be converted and you would see the raw HTML in the warning prompt.   This has been fixed.

– If you are using new Outlook, and you included attachments in your email, saved the email to Drafts, then opened it again and sent the email, the display prompt failed to display the attachments.  This was a bug in new Outlook only.

October 2024 – v4.5.9053.41877

– Fixed a bug with Meeting Items that prevented any rules from running.  The problem seemed to be related to a recent Outlook update because it has always been working in the past.

October 2024 – v4.5.9048.40723

– Fixed an issue with the duplicate display of email addresses when using the Reply To All rule.

– Added a new rule option to display just external email addresses or all email addresses.

– The majority of email addresses are lowercase.  However, we now force a case insensitive compare when comparing email addresses.  This change only affected rules that need to treat particular email addresses as part of the company.

– If the Refresh link is clicked on the warning prompt, we now clear the cache also to force a refresh of reading the rules on the server.

August 2024 – v4.5.8990.36644

– Fixed a bug wherein if the warning prompt included a “%” (as in “Are you 100% sure you want to send this message?”) then the prompt would not display.  This has been fixed.

– Fixed a display bug where duplicate recipients were displayed when using the “Warn when replying to all” condition.
