Safeguard Send Core is a lightweight, cost-effective Outlook add-in designed to prevent critical email mistakes before they happen. As a streamlined version of our flagship product, Safeguard Send for Microsoft 365, it offers essential protection without the complexity. With its default rule to warn users when sending emails outside their company domain, Safeguard Send Core provides an extra layer of security to your Microsoft 365 environment:
Shown above is the warning prompt shown to users when sending an email outside their company domain. This is the only rule that comes with Safeguard Send Core by default. However, what sets this add-in apart is its ability to be customized to your specific needs, transforming into Safeguard Send Core Plus with additional rules and conditions. While there is a one-time fee for this customization, the flexibility it offers can come very close to emulating nearly all the rules of Safeguard Send for Microsoft 365.

Note: This add-in must be installed by your IT administrator into your tenant, similar to Safeguard Send for Microsoft 365. Because of a Microsoft limitation, you as a user cannot install it directly into Outlook.

Version Features:
To be clear, there are actually three versions of this product.
Safeguard Send for Microsoft 365: This is our full featured product that provides warning prompts when users send outgoing emails. It has the ability to fully customize the warning prompts, the rules that cause the warning prompt to show, and the text that shows in the prompt itself. It is also the only product to provide access to a dashboard for centralized control.
Safeguard Send Core: This add-in duplicates the functionality of our flagship product, Safeguard Send for Microsoft 365, with a reduced feature set, along with a reduced price. It's a lightweight, low-cost tool to prevent mistakes when going to send emails. It includes just a single hard-coded rule, to warn users whenever sending an email outside their company.
Safeguard Send Core Plus: This add-in also duplicates the functionality of our flagship product, Safeguard Send for Microsoft 365, with a reduced feature set, along with a reduced price. Similar to our flagship product, this version can also be customized. It can be customized in the same way as Safeguard Send for Microsoft 365 (for an additional one-time fee) but does not allow for access to the dashboard. It can evaluate multiple rules at once for greater (and simpler) outgoing email security. Safeguard Send Core Plus is Safeguard Send Core with your customizations. None of the versions listed above require deployments! Your administrator simply installs it once into your tenant, and it magically appears everywhere it's supposed to.
